The Aims Of The Trust
The Emily Ash Trust was formed in 2002 to help improve the
life of children and their families who are suffering from
Leukaemia and other forms of cancers.
We aim to do this by way of:
Support in hospital
A child having contact with their friends and family is one
of the most important aspects of their holistic treatment
and something as simple as a PC and email link can make a
significant difference. That is why The Emily Ash Trust has
set up online facilities for young patients at The Royal Marsden.
A break away
For the supporting families, this is often a time when they
are living a day by day existence and do not have the ability
to plan ahead for holidays. The Trust provides a free holiday
home facility solely for the use of patients and their families
where they are able to get that well deserved weekend away
at short notice. To find out more call Alison Ash on 07931
385633. For more details about the holiday home please click

A trip of a lifetime
Each year, The Emily Ash Trust is able to offer a family the chance to visit Santa in Lapland – a truly unforgettable experience for the child, and for their family. In 2005 we were lucky enough to send two families for a trip of a lifetime.
The
boys only figured out what was going on when we arrived
at check-in. It was fantastic to see their faces.
The whole day was wonderful - amazing what you can cram
into a day. The boys enjoyed the toboggans the most,
nearly forgetting the visit to Santa. The snow
was great fun and they spent ages playing in it. We are
still feeling a little overwhelmed and emotional about
the whole thing."
Blood clinics
In conjunction with the Anthony Nolan Trust, we also hold
a number of blood clinics to help find potential bone marrow
donors who can potentially save the lives of others. Watch
this space for blood clinic dates in 2006.
